The bees live a happy life foraging and collecting nectar from the flowers of the season around the forests and farm lands of Braidwood, NSW.
The area, well known for its environmentally friendly and conscious farming practices, welcomes the bees in their pursuit of following the the flowering events and the honey flow and in the same time, helping them to bear fruit.

We can thank the bees for sharing their honey, produced as their food source. Honey has provided us humans with a substance with nutritional and medicinal qualities as well as great flavors and culinary enjoyment.

If you are after honey or products, you can pick up a jar or two or a product on your way, or pick up the phone or place your order and collect at your convenience

Wynlen House stall

Market Garden and produce stall

Wynlen house is the name of a very small farm or micro farming enterprise in the village of Braidwood in the Southern Tablelands. The produce is grown using organic and permaculture principles plus lots of loving care, in a small market garden. Wynlen House produces vegetables and animals - at various times the House keeps chooks, ducks, geese and turkeys for both egg laying and meat production, raises sheep and pigs on an alternate basis. 

Where to find the stall?

Wynlen House sells its produce - vegetables and preserves in the courtyard at 56 Wallace Street.

"We sell whatever is ready from the garden; seasonal produce. We aim for a broad range of vegies, focusing on a little of everything and a lot of a few things."

Food is picked and sold within 24 hours. Wynlen House also sell preserves and cakes made from seasonal produce and fruits. Horseradish cream is very popular and garlic confit over winter. Apple pie of course! 

You can visit the stall on Saturday morning between 9am and midday. If we sell out we go home early!

Next event - Visitors Day at Wynlen House Slow Food Farm

Wynlen House Slow Food Farm is opening for visitors on Sunday, June 12th, 10 - 3pm, this year. Come along, tour the garden and be inspired about how much produce can be grown in a kitchen garden or homesteading space. There will be a cafe open offering hot drinks and some “slow Food” snacks.

Wynlen House is a very small farm or micro farming enterprise located on a large village block (just under 1 acre) in the village of Braidwood in the Southern Tablelands. It is a small organic four season, cool climate, slow food farm selling produce (vegetables and meat) all year to consumers. Bronwyn and Helen who run the garden care about where food comes from; how and where it is grown; and how it is processed, prepared and shared. “We produce simple honest produce of the highest quality and believe you can taste the difference. We sell produce from the slow food garden through a market stall on Saturday mornings. Food is picked and sold on the same day or within 24 hours."

The focus is about growing food to be consumed locally. This is also termed slow food. If you want to eat it, then you should grow it or try to locate it from the local region. All aspects of food, its quality, its origins, its preparation, how it arrives at our plate needs to be thought about. Every step in this process has an impact on our environment. Producing food organically and locally minimises this impact.

And if you are concerned about the quality, Braidwood Butchery has been passed by NSW Foodsafe to process biodynamic organic products, which it does for an organic bio-dynamic farm in Bungendore.
